Coach Helder Dos Santos Silva of Riverside Olympic Football Club spoke highly of Dan Nash, highlighting his contributions, character, and impact on the team:
"Dan Nash is the Captain of our club, it's going to be the last year of his retirement this year. Dan Nash has been in the club for the past four years, it's been a massive pace of the puzzle for the past two years, I've been for the past year and a half at Riverside Olympic Football Club, he's been outstanding, one of the best goalkeepers in Tasmania without short of a doubt, it's a shame he is retiring, because he's going to be well missed next year and next season.

He's been doing well, getting teams of the week, getting saves of the week, an outstanding character, the best I have ever seen, or worked so far with in terms of professional football, and I did work with a lot of people, no egocentric everything is about the team with Dan, everything is about winning, he has a winning mentality, and though we've been struggling with results, he's always there and an amazing individual, he works himself off training, he is a role model for the younger goalkeepers we have in the club, someone to look upon, I don't have words and feelings to describe this individual"
