Meet Garba Lawal, Kada Warriors FC Kaduna General Manager.

𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗞𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗙𝗖 𝗞𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗻𝗮.

On 4th February 2025, the Chairman of Kada Warriors FC Kaduna announced the formation of the club’s management and technical team, which was officially unveiled on 13th February 2025. The team is now headed by Garba Lawal MON as the General Manager.

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗮 𝗟𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗹:

Garba Lawal was born on May 22, 1974, in Kaduna State, Nigeria. He is a former professional footballer who played primarily as a winger.

𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿:
Garba Lawal’s most successful playing career was at Roda JC in the Eredivisie, Netherlands. Though his playing career started at NUB Kad 1989-1991 and then metamorphosed to a beautiful career path with various clubs like Julius Berger FC Lagos 1991-1994.

He also had stints with Chinese club Changsha Ginde, and Lobi Stars FC Makurdi, where he took on a player-coach role in 2009.

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿:
Garba Lawal’s international career is legendary and has cemented his place in Nigerian football history, and Nigeria, a successful career path that has earned him the Distinguish 𝗠𝗢𝗡 tittle. Garba Lawal, one of the most versatile players of the Nigeria national team in the 1990s and early 2000s, Lawal was deployed in various positions, ranging from defense to attack, especially on the left wing.

Garba Lawal started his international career from the lows, progressively climbing to the peak, he was first featured for the Nigerian Flying Eagles U-20 in the Mauritius 93 African Youth Championship

He won an Olympic gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Games and represented Nigeria in the Sydney Olympics 2000. Garba Lawal also represented Nigeria in two consecutive FIFA World Cups; 1998 and 2002. Lawal played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s memorable 3–2 victory over Spain in the 1998 World Cup, scoring a crucial goal in Nigeria’s first match of the tournament. Additionally, he represented Nigeria at four editions of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON): 2000, 2002, 2004, and 2006, scoring in all but the first tournament.

𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲:
Garba Lawal has also made his mark in football management, serving in various capacities.

Garba Lawal served as Member Technical Development Committee 2008-2018.

From 2014 to 2015, he served as the General Manager of Kaduna United. He later became the Co-ordinator for the Nigerian U-17 national team.

Garba Lawal also served as Real Stars  FC Kaduna
Technical Adviser from 2018-2020

Currently, he holds the position of Assistant Technical Director at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). Now, he embarks on his new role as the General Manager of Kada Warriors FC Kaduna.
